Oranga Tamariki is not just our name. It encapsulates everything we do – to care for, to protect our children and to maintain and uphold their mana, the mana each child in Aotearoa is born with.

We are making changes that will enable us to focus resources on becoming locally-led and centrally-enabled, and empower our people to drive better outcomes for tamariki and whānau. We will have a integrated regional service delivery model that increases support for the frontline and refocuses attention on the profession of social work, which is at the heart of what we do.

Our changes also include building much greater understanding of Te Ao Māori, ensuring it guides our decision making and our support of partners and communities.

To support this change, we have developed a new, smaller leadership structure focused on working collectively and driving accountability.

We are looking for exceptional leaders to drive this transformative change. Here is your opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of tamariki in Aotearoa.
