Head of Māori Business Projects and Strategic Relationships

Reporting to the General Manager of Business and Innovation, your purpose will be to help make the Wellington region famous by fostering strong effective relationships and partnerships with key Māori stakeholders including (but not limited to) regional iwi partners and mana whenua to ensure delivery of strategic priorities while enhancing Māori participation with WellingtonNZ.
You will lead, own, and drive the development of a programme approach to relationship management with mana whenua and Māori that results in improved and increased Māori participation in WellingtonNZ initiatives.

A passionate and energetic leader that will also design and implement a major project to grow and support Māori business leaders and entrepreneurs in the Wellington Region. This is an opportunity to make a real difference: creating sustainable outcomes for Māori.
Additionally, you will have:
-Excellent stakeholder management skills
-Desire to work on a region wide Kaupapa project with businesses /entrepreneurs
-Strong project management skills
-Relationships with the business community in and around Wellington (with an emphasis on small business engagement)
