Workbridge is the largest New Zealand-owned employment agency for disabled people, and people living with an injury or illness. We support disabled jobseekers, employers and workplaces across the country.  Our National Office is in Wellington, with over 110 employees operating in 22 centres throughout New Zealand.
 
Role

The GM Finance provides leadership and business management for the Finance Group consisting of Finance and Payroll.  The GM Finance is responsible for the integrity of the financial information and reporting to management and stakeholders, and for providing quality advice on the viability of future business decisions through robust analysis and modelling.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Contributing and participating in the SLT’s development of strategy.
  • Providing expert advice to the CE and Board ensuring a clear understanding.
  • Leading and developing business plans to enable the Finance team to deliver to future organisational needs.
  • Providing effective financial and risk planning to support decisions.
  • Instigating and championing process improvement.
  • Contributing to embedding practices and supporting behaviours that ensure an innovative, inclusive, participatory workplace.

 
Candidate

The ideal candidate will:

  • have an appropriate qualification and membership of Chartered Accountants Australia–New Zealand or equivalent.
  • be an experienced people leader with a keen sense of self-awareness to inspire teams.
  • have strong working knowledge of the not-for-profit sector.
  • have a focus for process improvement.
  • A lived experience of a disability is an advantage.
