Ara Poutama Aotearoa -The Department of Corrections is one of New Zealand’s largest government departments. You’ll be responsible for the delivery of the Hikitia Implementation Plan through partnership with mana whenua, the Waikato DHB and other stakeholders. 
The roles focus:

  • Establishing positive and effective working relationships with Mana Whenua – Ahi Kā, the Waikato DHB and working in partnership with them to implement Hikitia
  • Oversight and management of key deliverables
  • Reporting to Project Governance Board and/or DCE Health
  • Providing project controls
  • Managing effective internal and external communications
  • Supporting the Waikeria Programme Manager to deliver project plans
  • Working with the DCE Health to align Hauora Services and Hōkai Rangi
  • Escalating issues to the Project Governance Board/ DCE Health
  • Mitigating and controlling risk
  • Role modelling and practicing tuakana – teina philosophies to support and mentor others
  • Creating and innovating solutions to achieve successful outcomes
  • Supporting inclusion and diversity, leading and championing safety and wellbeing, and encouraging professional development within the implementation team

Your skills and experience:
