This is an exciting time to join the BCITO People and Culture team as they grow and develop to meet the changing needs of their sector. BCITO is a division of Te Pūkenga Work Based Learning Subsidiary. Te Pūkenga is the new entity responsible for ensuring equity and excellence for all New Zealanders in the area of vocational education. We have an important role in supporting the Crown in its relationships with Māori under the Treaty of Waitangi and te Tiriti o Waitangi.  W As a result of a promotion, they are looking for a GM People & Culture who can provide leadership and oversight of the People & Culture team. In this role, you will have overall responsibility for the of all the delivery People & Culture functions. As a member of the senior leadership team, you will play a critical part in managing the smooth and timely service delivery to the division. You must have a good knowledge and experience of employment legislation, performance and remuneration, and wellbeing & safety.
It would be beneficial, although not essential, to have employment relations experience. You will have the opportunity to lead a vibrant, agile, focused team. It is a busy team going through an exciting period of change, so there is real opportunity to contribute to the outcomes of this transformation.
Do you have a pro-active approach, a proven background in relevant roles, and you are an exceptional communicator, who can build and maintain strong relationships? The successful candidate will need to have a can-do, positive, hands-on approach and provide direct People & Culture operations support, reporting into the BCITO Director/ (dotted line to WBL GM P&C).
