NZQA is accountable for managing the New Zealand Qualifications Framework, administering the secondary school assessment system, independent quality assurance of non-university education providers, qualifications recognition and standard setting.   
They are searching for a Senior Policy Analyst to join their Policy and International team where you’ll focus on equity issues and the integration of mātauranga Māori into the qualifications system. It is an operational policy role with a focus on non-university tertiary education. You’ll contribute to the development of tertiary education policy, support the regulatory environment, and provide advice on tertiary and international education matters that deliver on NZQA’s international work programme. 
You’ll be an experienced policy professional with a working knowledge (not necessarily fluency) of te reo Māori and mātauranga Māori along with lived experience within te ao Māori. Knowledge of Pasifika world views is a bonus. NZQA prioritise the importance of understanding tikanga in building a culturally responsive workplace and provide a welcoming environment for Māori staff under Te Kāhui Māori.
