Social Media Strategist

  • High profile programme.
  • Hourly rate contract.
  • Full or part-time hours.

Role

This is an opportunity to join an expert communications and engagement team on a high profile international programme.

The programme has a busy schedule of activities so there’s lots of opportunity for engaging with a range of audiences and gathering interesting content.  As the social media strategist, you’ll be developing strategies and tactics to quickly drive connections across the programme’s social media channels.  You’ll be sourcing content, including from third parties as well as using data and insights to improve social media performance.  While the focus is on developing strategies, at busy times you may need to pitch in to write and post content.

Candidate

You’ll need to be an expert in social media with sound experience in developing strategies and tactics to reach a range of audiences.  You’ll have an eye for a good story and know how to source or create compelling content.

This is an hourly rate contract, starting almost immediately until late November (possibly longer).  There is flexibility to work either full or part-time hours.  You’ll be based in Wellington with some flexibility around WFH.

Entry to New Zealand from all countries remains strictly controlled to help prevent the spread of COVID-19. You may only apply for this role if you have the right to work in New Zealand. For information about New Zealand work or residence visas, please visit www.immigration.govt.nz
