The Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Engagement provides leadership in and support for external relations, stakeholder engagement, fundraising, marketing, communications, events, international partnerships and outreach services for the University. Reporting to the Assistant Vice-Chancellor, International Engagement, the Senior Market Analyst will be responsible for providing market intelligence and insights that will contribute to a long-term domestic and international student recruitment strategy.  


The appointee will conduct quantitative and qualitative research to discern the market conditions for current and future programmes and services offered by the university, and to inform the development of a market-led plan for the recruitment of domestic and international students. This plan will form the basis of a Senior Leadership Team-approved strategy to be maintained as a living document. In conducting this research, the Senior Market Analyst will engage and collaborate widely to gather relevant market knowledge and ensure the strategy reflects current and future market trends.


The ideal candidate will have significant experience of market research or analysis working within a large and complex organisation. They will demonstrate outstanding interpersonal, influencing and presentation skills developed through working with multiple internal and external stakeholders. This combination of skills and experience will ensure the ability to engage proactively and gather relevant market knowledge, applying the appropriate research methodologies to analyse and synthesise a wide range of information. The outcomes delivered will serve to underpin a robust and comprehensive student recruitment plan.
