Mutual Benefit Fund Administration Ltd [MBFAL] provides secretariat and operational support to the Pilots Mutual Benefit Fund and the Air Traffic Controllers Mutual Benefit Fund. These specialised Funds provide financial and rehabilitation support for their members in the event of them losing their operational licences on medical grounds. Each of the Funds is managed by trustees, some of whom are also directors of MBFAL.

In this role you will be responsible to MBFAL’s directors. You will liaise directly with the trustees of the Funds and other authorised advisors on operational affairs. Most trustees/directors live outside Wellington, so you will be comfortable working independently. You will attend regular trustees’ meetings and occasional travel may be necessary. You will have contact with members and claimants.

To succeed in this role, you need close attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and work collaboratively. You will have experience in managing data and systems, and producing reports and communiques. Resilient, insightful, and adaptable you will be familiar with trust law and regulatory requirements to support the trustees in their decision making and governance. You need to be comfortable researching new concepts and continually improving organisational processes.
