What you’ll do
In this influential role you’ll work closely with senior leaders providing support and advice on all internal and external communications. You’ll lead a close-knit communications team to deliver a diverse range of communications. As well, you’ll work with staff from other areas to support the delivery of publications (including evaluation insights) to lift the education sector’s performance. You’ll manage and enhance a range of channels to extend the reach of the Education Review Office (ERO), and ensure it is responsive to stakeholders.
What you’ll bring
You’ll have political nous, be media savvy and have a track record of developing and delivering communications strategies. You’ll have a demonstrated ability to influence through relationships to ensure delivery of the strategies across ERO. You’ll understand the machinery of government and be able to create strong public sector networks. Education sector experience would be useful but is not necessary. You’ll be open to joining ERO on its journey to becoming a bicultural and bilingual organisation. People management experience will be useful – however, if you’re ready to step-up to a leadership role, please apply.
