Manatū Taonga, Ministry for Culture and Heritage, helps enrich the lives of all New Zealanders by promoting a confident and connected culture. The Ministry supports many of New Zealand’s arts, media, heritage and sports organisations, advises government on cultural matters and provides research and resources for everyone to access.
The DCE Organisational Performance is accountable for a multi-functional group including finance, people, IT systems and information, communications, stakeholder engagement, ministerial servicing, facilities, security and safety support services.
Candidates are sought with a proven track record of outstanding leadership as a senior executive and with prior experience of leading a corporate services function and team. The successful candidate will be a strong communicator with the ability to inspire, shape and influence. They will have a record of building strong partnerships that deliver value and continuous improvement, and will have the breadth of business skills, acumen and financial stewardship required at senior executive level.
Knowledge and understanding of the public sector and the ability to work effectively at a whole of government level will also be required. As a member of the executive leadership team, the position will share collective responsibility for the strategic leadership and direction of the organisation.
