Would you like to make your mark in one of the biggest and most complex capital portfolios in the public sector?
This position has a dual responsibility, firstly for overseeing the finance module in terms of budgeting, forecasting, reporting and systems enhancements and secondly for providing robust, integrated project and portfolio financial analysis, assurance, and advice. Leading a team of Management Accountants, you will provide leadership for the financial analysis of the capital portfolio collaborating with key stakeholders. Your relationship building skills will enable you to lift the level of financial literacy of the project teams you liaise with. Your team is responsible for providing financial health checks, and key advice to senior leaders in order to maintain the overall effectiveness of the portfolio function.

You are likely to bring extensive experience in portfolio and project financial management including planning, budgeting, and performance reporting. Your communication skills will allow you to translate complex financial information and analysis to a variety of stakeholders. You will also display demonstrated success in developing and enhancing financial capability, standards and collateral consistent with NZ financial reporting and accounting standards, State Sector and Public Finance Act.
A Chartered Accountant qualification is essential for applying for this position.
