Looking for a role that combines your media and communications skills with your understanding of financial markets? The Reserve Bank, Te Pūtea Matua, is looking for a calm and professional operator to help it create a variety of credible communications for external audiences.
This is a role for someone who is intellectually curious and keen to develop a deeper understanding of the work of the Bank and the needs of its stakeholders. You will thrive when dealing with complex issues, often to tight deadlines. The challenge of turning the technicalities of research, policy, data and statistics into a range of accessible content, including speeches, is one you will relish. At the same time, you will enjoy working both with the media, and as part of a team that provides communications counsel across the organisation.
The Reserve Bank is the country’s Central Bank and it plays an important role in ensuring the economic wellbeing of New Zealanders. It does this by managing monetary policy to maintain price stability, supporting a sound and efficient financial system, and supplying New Zealand’s currency.
In this role you will make a significant contribution to enhancing the Bank’s credibility and reputation at a time when its work is vital to helping New Zealanders navigate the challenges of a fast-changing, world.
