Kiwi Can Do (KCD) KCD works closely with employers to prepare and support unemployed New Zealanders into employment and a career. They also work closely with Work and Income’s service centres to identify people looking for work. The organisation is largely funded by the Industry Partnerships division of the Ministry of Social Development to support the Construction Industry Accord, an all-industry and government grouping with a mandate to create a high-performance construction sector that will help lead New Zealand’s economic recovery. You will develop and implement KCD’s Human Resource management strategy (including health and safety) so that it aligns with their overall company strategy and builds, enhances, and measures the development of KCD’s culture based on its vision, values and beliefs. There is also a focus on coaching and advising line managers about people management using best practice human resource methodologies.
We are searching for an experienced HR practitioner, preferably from the small to medium business sector, who is commercially and financially savvy and passionate about customers. You will have a high level of familiarity with NZ employment, health and safety and human rights legislation and a track record of enhancing business performance, employee engagement and customer satisfaction.
