Leading four direct reports, the Manager, Planning and Reporting is responsible for embedding Te Arawhiti’s planning and performance processes to enable the agency to implement its strategic priorities to achieve its goals and objectives.

The Manager will lead the planning and reporting process for the agency which includes:

  • Implementing the agency strategy and business planning process resulting in a clear and concise organisational plan being produced
  • Ensuring the agency’s performance framework is transparent and reflects the strategy and goals of Te Arawhiti 
  • Managing the agency’s reporting obligations from an internal and external statutory perspective
  • Providing sound project management support across the agency.

As a Tier 4 people manager, you will also have broader responsibilities across Te Arawhiti to help position the agency for the future, and build sustainability, resilience and connections. As well, you will help the agency identify and develop talent and contribute to improving Māori Crown relations.

To be successful in this role you will need to have the following:

  • Knowledge on how to operationalise strategy, government processes and statutory obligations that agencies such as Te Arawhiti are subject to is important
  • Experience in working in a high pressure environment and meeting deadlines also important.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and exceptional interpersonal talent to empower others to achieve success.
