NZ Airports is the industry association for New Zealand’s airports and related businesses. Its members operate 41 airports which enable essential air transport links throughout the country. It offers a united voice for airports and helps them to operate safely and efficiently and to support sustainable air connectivity for people and places.

Reporting to the CE, the Sector Development Manager is a newly created position responsible for delivering exceptional results across a wide range of policy, projects and advocacy that influences the aviation sector. The goal is to support the success of airports, communities and the national air network to meet demand, promote choice and competition, build and maintain safe and reliable infrastructure, and streamline operations. You will, when required, represent the sector.

You will have a background or a keen interest in aviation and have experience of government relations. You will be a person of influence, a strong relationship-developer, enjoy stakeholder engagement and be an excellent writer. You may come from a policy, legal or analytical background and you will have an ability to understand the impact of government policies and legislation on airports and the aviation sector.
