As the Cancer Society of New Zealand (CSNZ) embarks on a new strategic direction to meet the changing and growing needs of its communities and to respond to major health sector changes, it is seeking a Chief Executive who is an inspiring, collegial and innovative leader, a strong communicator, and who has exceptional relationship skills.

As a highly respected service provider, researcher, funder and advocate, CSNZ is an integral part of the cancer continuum in New Zealand. Through its federation structure of six regional offices and 16 centres, it is the leading non-government organisation in the sector.

The role requires a leader known for their ability to lead high-performing teams and who has the strategic competence, change management experience and commercial acumen to ensure CSNZ continues to meet the changing needs of its communities in a financially sustainable way. You will be politically astute, skilled at representation and advocacy and a highly effective relationship-builder and influencer. Committed to CSNZ’s vision and values, you will be able to demonstrate your ability to work in a treaty led partnership and demonstrate a commitment to equity.
