Queen Elizabeth II National Trust helps private landowners in New Zealand protect special natural and cultural features on their land forever. The Trust does a big job with a small team. They are in a significant growth phase and have an opening for a Health and Safety Advisor.

This is a new opportunity for an experienced Health and Safety (H&S) Advisor to join the Field Operations team. This role is located at QEII Wellington office however the role requires some regular travel to the regional field operations.

The key responsibilities will include developing and maintaining the H&S system, ensuring QEII and its operating divisions maintain a healthy and safe work environment as indicated by good industry practices and in compliance with legislative requirements through the development, deployment and continuous improvement of the organisation’s health and safety management system. To be successful in this role you will be organised and diligent and be up to date with your knowledge of HSE legislation.

You will own your responsibilities and achieve timely milestones. You will have the technical experience to be able to drive productivity and efficiency and be willing to be hands-on and proactive if required. You will have the ability to perform toolbox talks and perform site audits to a very high standard.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of H&S experience in a related industry and hold or be gaining an H&S qualification, as well as some experience with accident investigations.
