Friday 8 March is International Women’s Day, a global celebration of the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. Join us for ‘Women Leading Business’ to celebrate the contribution Wellington’s women make to the business community and be inspired by two guest speakers who are doing it particularly well.
Steph Dyhrberg is an accomplished senior employment lawyer and one of the 2 female partners of Dyhrberg Drayton Employment Law. She has been instrumental in the fight against a culture of sexual harassment within the legal profession. In recognition of her efforts to combat sexual harassment, Steph was awarded Wellingtonian of the Year for 2018 and was a finalist in the Women of Influence Awards in 2018.
Angela Meyer is Co-founder and Co-director of ‘Double Demin’ gender intelligence creative agency, delivering marketing campaigns with a focus on gender diversity. As a specialist in the understanding the female economy, a published author, and leader of top marketing and communications teams, Angela was also a finalist in the Women of Influence Awards in 2018 under the Business Enterprise category. You may have heard of the trans-Tasman dance company ‘The Real Hot Bitches’, or the dating agency ‘The Man Bank’, which both stemmed from Angela’s desire to empower women and change the status quo.
Steph and Angela will be sharing their personal journeys of professional development and how they got to where they are today, including some of the challenges they have faced along the way. They’ll also touch on this year’s International Women’s Day focus, #balanceforbetter.
